ALMAVERA was born in Madrigal de la Vera, in the heart of the La Vera region and at the foothills of the Sierra de Gredos, as a project dedicated to restoring charming houses and transforming them into boutique holiday apartments, where traditional architecture and contemporary design coexist in harmony with nature and tranquility.

Casa Pura Vida, made up of three independent apartments, represents the brightest and most welcoming expression of this philosophy. Fully renovated in 2025 and opened in March 2026, the house preserves its original character while incorporating modern and sustainable materials perfectly integrated into the surroundings, creating spaces filled with natural light and designed for rest.

The Petirrojo 2 Duplex, with capacity for up to 6 guests, offers 60 m² distributed over two levels, providing both space and personality. It is fully furnished and equipped, and every corner has been thoughtfully designed to ensure a comfortable and authentic stay.

Located on the first floor, the apartment is accessed by a short flight of stairs. Inside, another staircase leads to the upper level of the duplex, where you will find a second living room with sofa bed, a bathroom and access to its spectacular private terrace.

The terrace is undoubtedly one of its greatest treasures: stunning views of the Sierra de Gredos, the Tiétar Valley and Madrigal de la Vera, where the horizon seems to blend with the landscape. A privileged place to enjoy breakfast in the sun, watch beautiful sunsets or simply relax while taking in the peaceful scenery.

The space

• Main bedroom with double bed, spacious wardrobe and bed linen included, designed for restful nights.

• Two independent living rooms with two large and comfortable sofa beds (140 × 180 cm), flat-screen TV and free Wi-Fi.

• Fully equipped kitchen with coffee maker, oven, microwave, ceramic hob, refrigerator, toaster, washing machine and complete kitchenware.

• Two elegant and contemporary bathrooms with marble-effect finishes, modern shower, towels, hairdryer, shampoo and shower gel.

• Extras included: additional bedding for sofa beds, blankets and basic cleaning supplies.

You will also find small welcome touches such as coffee, tea and herbal infusions so that you feel at home from the very first moment.

The surroundings

Staying at ALMAVERA · Casa Pura Vida means discovering one of the most beautiful natural destinations in northern Extremadura. Madrigal de la Vera, located in the Tiétar Valley and next to the Sierra de Gredos, is known for its crystal-clear mountain gorges, lush landscapes and a pleasant microclimate throughout the year.

Very close to the apartment you can visit iconic places such as the Alardos Gorge, explore hiking trails through oak and chestnut forests, enjoy cycling or horse-riding routes, or discover some of the most charming villages in La Vera, such as Valverde de la Vera and Villanueva de la Vera.

The area is also known for its traditional gastronomy, with products as famous as Pimentón de La Vera, and for its peaceful atmosphere, perfect for relaxing and enjoying nature.
